Winner: Commercial Development of the Year!
Manse Opus are proud to have Prospero Ansty Park named ‘Commercial Development of the Year’ at Insider’s West Midlands Property Awards late last year. Held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, the event recognised the outstanding achievements of the people, businesses and organisations which have designed, developed, funded, and managed the built environment in the region.
Manse Opus were successful in a double shortlisting for the categories Commercial Development of the Year and Construction Project of the Year. The development was crowned winner of the Commercial Development of the Year with judges commenting, ‘A development to be proud of.’
‘The project had it all, a big focus on local supply chains, a determination to upskill and improve the wellbeing of local employees and great green credentials.
Manse Opus successfully completed the development in March 2022 and the Cadent team started its phased moves into the 94,000 sq.ft premises shortly afterwards.
The deal was one of the UK’s largest out-of-town lettings and was designed with sustainability at heart. The scheme has been awarded a BREEAM Very Good rating and will fulfil Cadent’s aspirations to reduce their carbon emissions. The design included significant provision of photovoltaic panels on the roof and incorporated in to the brise soleil, rainwater harvesting, optimisation of natural light via a light well, EV charging points, extensive landscaping and sustainable drainage systems.
In addition to the stand-out sustainable initiatives above, 85% of all fit-out materials were produced and manufactured from within a 100-mile radius, and have included an element of recycled content where possible.
This deal represents one of the most significant lettings in the West Midlands. Manse Opus worked tirelessly to bring this development to completion and are proud to be recognised of its success.
